Chairman of KPK: Corruption in the procurement of Goods and Services (PBJ) must be stopped immediately

TEROBODHUKUM.CO.ID – It has often been an indication of corruption in the procurement of goods and services, now KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri highlights the annoyance of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) about a number of ministries/institutions that buy a lot of imported products. Firli said Jokowi’s annoyance had something to do with the corruption in the procurement of goods and services that had been going on.

“I understand the meaning of Mr. President’s ‘anger’ because our attitude towards the ability of domestic products versus imported products is already outrageous. This has something to do with corruption in the procurement of goods and services, “said Firli in his written statement, Saturday (26/3/2022).

Firli said his party had paid attention to corruption in the procurement of goods and services sector. He called the procurement of goods and services a bribery sector.

Firli supported Jokowi’s directive to prioritize buying goods produced locally. He said corruption in the procurement of goods and services (PBJ) must be stopped immediately.

“We must welcome the emphasis placed by the Head of State so that we begin to change the orientation of the procurement of goods and services and stop the corruption of PBJ,” he said.

Firli gave eight suggestions related to the procurement of goods and services. Among them, does not conspire to commit corruption with the providers of goods/services, does not receive and obtain kickbacks and does not contain elements of bribery and gratification.

Furthermore, Firli said the process of procurement of goods and services by government agencies does not contain elements of gratification, does not contain elements of conflict of interest, does not contain elements of fraud and or maladministration, there is no malicious intent by taking advantage of emergency conditions and does not allow corruption.
